Head of M&A
David brings over 20 years of experience executing over $2bn in sell-side transactions for middle market firms across a variety of industries. At Viridian, David is responsible for running the firm’s M&A efforts and leading the execution of sell-side mandates across a dozen cannabis verticals.
Prior to Viridian, David has two decades of experience as an investment banker, entrepreneur, in private equity and in the cannabis industry. He spent nearly a decade as an investment banker focused on mergers & acquisitions at Bear Stearns, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) and Credit Suisse. While at DLJ and Credit Suisse, David was a member of the firm’s M&A department; working as a M&A generalist, in the Exclusive Sales Group and also leading the firm’s distressed M&A efforts. As an entrepreneur, David conceptualized, branded, built, led, and sold two companies from scratch with over $4M in revenue and 150 employees. David has also worked in private equity, providing transaction support for public and private company buyouts. Most recently, he oversaw strategic transactions for a Colorado-based cannabis company with multi-state operations in cultivation, production, and distribution.
