Mr. Greiper is the president and founding partner of Viridian Capital Advisors. He has had a distinguished 20-year career in the technology, security, and information technology sectors as both a research analyst and investment banker.

Mr. Greiper is also the president and founder of Secure Strategy Group, which provides capital, strategic advisory, and M&A services to growth companies in the technology, security, and IT markets. Previously, Mr. Greiper was a principal and senior analyst at C. E. Unterberg, Towbin, where he covered public companies in the global security industry and was consistently ranked as one of the top analysts in the sector. He has been involved in raising more than $500 million for both public and private companies and has completed a range of M&A assignments.

Mr. Narins is the Director of Investor Relations at Viridian Capital Advisors. In this role, he leverages his decades of experience and extensive relationship management, marketing, and communication skills to drive capital raising initiatives for Viridian.

Mr. Narins has a 30-year track record of success as a business entrepreneur and fund raiser. As co-founder and General Partner of E.V.R. Asset Management LLC, a long/short equity hedge fund, Mr. Narins helped to close on tens of millions of dollars of assets, increasing initial AUM 4-fold over a 3-year period. As the Director of Marketing and Sales for XTOL (Experiential Teaching Online), an online education company, he was solely responsible for raising the company’s initial venture capital round.

In 1989, Mr. Narins co-founded and was President of Blades Skate & Sport, which became the largest privately-held chain of skating stores in the country. He converted a $50,000 investment into a multi-million-dollar business, eventually selling his interest in a private transaction.

Mr. Phillips is Vice President of Viridian Capital Advisors and currently leads Viridian’s data collection and analysis project, the Viridian Cannabis Deal Tracker, as well as Viridian’s valuation assignments. In these activities, Mr. Phillips monitors, catalogs, and analyzes capital markets activity and stock performance of companies in the cannabis industry. Mr. Phillips is also co-founder of the Viridian Members Fund, a member-managed venture fund targeting early-stage opportunities in the cannabis space.

His prior experience includes asset classification, database management, and spreadsheet programming at Black Diamond Performance Reporting and product research at Brower Financial Group.

At University of North Florida, where Mr. Phillips received a B.B.A. in Finance, he held the position of co-manager and statistician of their student-managed investment fund, Osprey Financial Group.

David brings over 20 years of experience executing over $2bn in sell-side transactions for middle market firms across a variety of industries. At Viridian, David is responsible for running the firm’s M&A efforts and leading the execution of sell-side mandates across a dozen cannabis verticals.

Prior to Viridian, David has two decades of experience as an investment banker, entrepreneur, in private equity and in the cannabis industry. He spent nearly a decade as an investment banker focused on mergers & acquisitions at Bear Stearns, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) and Credit Suisse. While at DLJ and Credit Suisse, David was a member of the firm’s M&A department; working as a M&A generalist, in the Exclusive Sales Group and also leading the firm’s distressed M&A efforts. As an entrepreneur, David conceptualized, branded, built, led, and sold two companies from scratch with over $4M in revenue and 150 employees. David has also worked in private equity, providing transaction support for public and private company buyouts. Most recently, he oversaw strategic transactions for a Colorado-based cannabis company with multi-state operations in cultivation, production, and distribution.

Mr. Kleidman, as an attorney and an experienced public and private equity investor with over 30 years of investing experience, advises our clients on SEC, M&A, corporate, and legal matters. For the past 12 years, he has worked with private equity/hedge funds including BelHealth Investment Fund, Vision Capital Advisors, and ComVest, where he directed investments in micro and small cap public and private companies in privately negotiated transactions.

Prior to that, Mr. Kleidman served as managing director and head of corporate finance for Commonwealth Associates, where he managed or co–managed over 75 public offerings, 24 private placement transactions, and was financial advisor in connection with over 10 M&A, strategic partnership, or restructuring transactions.

Prior, he was an attorney with the law firm of Shea & Gould for approximately 10 years after becoming a partner in 1992. At Shea & Gould, he was primarily involved with representing investment banking firms, private equity firms, and private and public companies in connection with public offerings, private placements, and merger and acquisition transactions.

Mr. Kleidman received a B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Syracuse University and a J.D. from Cornell University.

Mr. Ernest is an Investment Banker with Viridian Capital Advisors and is responsible for investor relations and building the infrastructure of the firm in order to scale distribution. Steve leverages a decade of experience in the capital markets as well as 4 years of full time focus within the cannabis industry. He has been an angel investor in the space since 2015, co-founded a capital advisory platform called Mazakali in 2016 and sits on the finance committee for Students for Sensible Drug Policy.

Prior to joining the cannabis industry, Steve spent nearly a decade in the financial capital markets across sales, investment banking, business development, valuation, trading, client relationship management, wealth advisory and investment planning.

Steve’s past experience includes: Financial Advisor, J.P. Morgan Securities, Underwriter, State Farm Insurance and Financial Representative, Northwestern Mutual. Steve earned B.S.s in Finance and Risk Management with a Minor in Economics from Illinois State University and currently holds Series 7, Series 66 and Series 79 licenses.
